Brief Profile: Kshipra Uke is a PhD Research Scholar in Centre for American Studies in School of International Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. After gaining a masters degree in English literature, she took up a teaching job in Nagpur University for some time and then submitted her M.Phil dissertation in JNU on the topic- “Indo-US Cooperation on Counterterrorism: 1999-2008” in 2009. Currently, she is working on her PhD thesis titled as “Idea of Hindu Identity in Post-1965: Selective Indian Diasporic Writings in the US.” Her research interests are religion, marginalisation, social justice and literature.
