Brief Profile:   Aratrika Ganguly is a PhD research scholar in the Dept. of Comparative Indian Language and Literature, University of Calcutta. She is currently delivering lectures as a seminar lecturer in three colleges under the University of Calcutta. Her research area for PhD is Coolie (specifically the category of Tea Coolie and Coal Coolie) and Migration and their literature. Her interest lies in South Asia, South East Asia, Coolie Literature, Migration, Women Narrative, Performance Studies and African Literature. She completed her M.Phil. in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She also worked as a UGC-UPE-II Project Fellow at Dept. of CILL, University of Calcutta. She participated in several national and International level workshops and seminars and she has quite a few numbers of publication in peer reviewed Journal.

Area of Specialization (keywords):   Migration (Coolie literature, Indentured Labourers), South Asia Literature, African Literatures, Feminism, Post Colonial Studies, Burma-India Relations and literature.
