UGC introducing E-PG pathshala for various courses including Indian Diaspora
The University Grants Commission (UGC), India will soon be introducing e-PG Pathshala in 77 subjects including a course on Indian diaspora at post-postgraduate level. The project is part of the centrally sponsored scheme of National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT) ofthe Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD). The e-contents would seek to create the high quality, curriculum-based, interactive content in different subjects across all disciplines of social sciences, arts, fine arts & humanities, natural & mathematical sciences, linguistics and languages. Diaspora is first time considered as one of the important subjects under the discipline of Sociology. Diaspora and transnational networks are the very important areas of study and will help the students of post-graduate levelin understanding, analysing and reasoning about the international-migration and flow of people outside the country.
