Brief Profile: Mamdooh Abdul Fathah is a graduate student at IGNOU in Political Science and a Research Student at Jamia Madeenathunnoor. He holds an undergraduate degreee from University of Calicut in English Language and Literature. He has a diasporic past and continues to produce cutting edge research at the intersection of diasporic identity, transnational politics, nationalism, religion and Mappila community. He has presented academic research papers at University of Warwick, University of Gujarat, Shahid Beheshti University, Hidayatulla National Law University, University of Kerala etc. Besides being a Founder Editor at Katib Media Collective, he is also a profuse writer having penned articles in English and Malayalam portals such as Café Dissensus New York, Ulumuna Journal, The Companion Journal, Risala Weekly, Tibaq.in, Two Circles, Expat Alive, Rushd Magazine, Pravasi Vayana, WFP etc. His research monograph titled ' Indoor religious networks among Kerala's traditional Muslims; Religious apartheid and migrant recourse in the pro-fundamentalist Saudi regime' was published by GRFDT. He had prior internship experience at DRAS, Taiba Garden Kolkata and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. In 2019, he was chosen for Aligarh Muslim University National Essay Award.
