Brief Profile: Agata Wanat holds a BA degree in Ethnology Cultural Anthropology from the University of Warsaw. Currently, she is pursuing an MA in Transnational Migrations (Erasmus Mundus MITRA programme).
She has completed antropological fieldwork in West Africa, focused on migration of young Gambians to Europe and its impact on family and gender relations in the town of Bakau.
Her current research interests circle around European integration policies - especially the accessibility and quality of education available for children of migrant backgroud. She has volunteered in several NGOs supporting children and youth of migrant background.
